Hyatt Regency in DC Debuts Renovated Lobby
Nov 25, 2008
Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled its $7 million lobby makeover. Walnut woodwork integrates with champagne-colored wallcoverings and commissioned artwork. Highlights of the space include registration pods, a grand staircase, glass-paneled escalators, and a custom chandelier. The renovation also marks the debut of restaurant and lounge Article One, led by chef Michael Barber.
Chicago-based Looney & Associates designed the restaurant, lounge, and lobby area, while JN+A of Rockville, Maryland, coordinated the architectural drawings and oversaw the management of the project on property. First Finish, based in Columbia, Maryland, served as general contractor.
